Can Order Exist Without a Designer?
About the Author
About Dr Sharif
Dr. Khalil Sharif was born in 1971 in a Palestinian refugee camp, where his family had lived after being displaced in 1948. He grew up in humble surroundings in a United Nations-provided home without heating or cooling and attended UN-run schools. Despite these challenges, he stood out as a dedicated and high-achieving student with strong discipline and curiosity.
His academic excellence earned him a scholarship to Bethlehem University, where he pursued physics. After completing his studies, he became a middle and high school physics teacher, spending four years helping students understand science in a practical and engaging way. These experiences shaped his lifelong interest in the relationship between science and God.
His academic journey later took him to the United States, where he pursued advanced studies in microelectronics and photonics at the University of Arkansas, earning both a master’s degree and a PhD. His work explores whether established scientific principles can contribute to discussions about the rarely addressed scientific view of God. Rather than beginning with belief or disbelief, Dr. Sharif examined religious, philosophical, and scientific arguments with an open mind.
After many years of exploration, he wrote this book with the goal of simplifying complex scientific facts and making the subject approachable to almost all audiences.
About the Book
Does God Exist?
A Brief “New” Scientific View
This thought-provoking book explores the existence of God through physics, logic, and scientific reasoning. Drawing on Newton’s laws of motion, the Laws of Thermodynamics, and the scientific method, Dr. Khalil Sharif examines the origin and order of the universe. Readers are invited to consider physics and God, explore evidence, and question whether or not science proves God.
